My name is Alex Rudick with Girl Scout Troop 872 of North Central Alabama. I earned my Girl Scout Gold Award on Distracted Driving.On May 26, 2017, my cousin Jessica lost her life in a car accident due to distracted driving. Below is a letter written by Jessica's father and read during her funeral. Her death and the below letter Uncle Don wrote greatly affected me. I knew immediately that my Gold Award project would be on Distracted Driving and how it's NOT just texting and driving.
If this reaches just one person then I will have succeeded in my Gold Award project.
